Bringing cheap supermarkets to Da Nang workers
Union Mart - Union Welfare Supermarket has just opened at Road No. 2, Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District, Da Nang City with hundreds of essential items and necessities to serve workers and laborers. In particular, these items are sold at preferential prices, with discounts from 5 - 20% for all items.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: "The Union Welfare Supermarket is a long-standing idea to take better care of workers' welfare. This is also the right time to implement this model with the goal of creating the most convenience for union members. From there, workers and laborers can buy goods and essential necessities for their lives."
According to Mr. Dai, businesses as well as the City Labor Federation will do well so that this model can be replicated and become more effective in industrial parks, thereby bringing better benefits to union members and workers in the city. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the workers' housing area (Cam Le district, Da Nang city).
Save money and ensure quality
Daily living expenses put a heavy burden on workers, especially workers in Da Nang. With a small salary and being the main breadwinner of the family, many workers cannot comfortably spend on their lives. Therefore, the appearance of welfare supermarkets with preferential prices has become a bright spot, contributing to sharing difficulties and bringing shopping joy to workers and laborers in Da Nang City.
At the newly opened Union Mart on Road 2, Hoa Cam Industrial Park, Cam Le District, Da Nang, the shopping atmosphere was bustling. Hundreds of workers came here after work to choose essential items such as rice, noodles, cooking oil, vegetables, meat, fish, etc. at prices 5-20% lower than the market price.
“Normally, after work, workers have to run out of the industrial park to the market or shopping center to buy food to prepare for dinner. But now, right in the industrial park, there are stores for workers and laborers to shop,” said Ms. Pham Thi Lien, a worker at Hoa Cam Industrial Park.
According to Ms. Lien, workers from neighboring areas of Da Nang City often have to run along the national highway to go home and have to stop at temporary markets to buy food, which is very dangerous. Therefore, when the union welfare supermarket is opened, it will create conditions for workers and laborers to have more time with their families after work.
Not only focusing on affordable prices, the welfare supermarket also puts product quality first. The products provided have clear origins, are strictly controlled for food hygiene and safety, bringing peace of mind to consumers.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Anh, representative of Union Mart Welfare Supermarket, said: “We have signed long-term cooperation agreements with large, reputable brands and we are also trusted by these brands, offering promotional programs exclusively for workers. At the same time, we commit to the origin and source of the products, so that the best and highest quality products reach the hands of workers.”
