The number of people registering to receive unemployment benefits in Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 13.24%

    HCMC - In the first 4 months of 2025, the number of people applying for unemployment benefits decreased by 13.24% compared to the same period in 2024.

    On May 9, Ms. Nguyen Van Hanh Thuc - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center - said that in April 2025, the center received 12,376 applications for unemployment benefits, an increase of 1,740 applications (an increase of 16.36%) compared to March 2025 (10,636 applications).

    In general, from the beginning of the year to the end of April 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center has received 35,966 cases of application for unemployment benefits. This number of records has decreased by 5,490 cases (equivalent to 13.24%) compared to the same period in 2024 (41,456 records).

    The Ho Chi Minh City Employment Service Center has submitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs to sign and issue 33,792 decisions to receive unemployment benefits for employees.

    Of which, the total number of records received and processed on the Public Service Portal is 16,295/35,966 records, accounting for 45.31% and the direct reception of 19,671/35,966 records, accounting for 54.69%.
