On September 18 and 19, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presided over and coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security to organize a communication program, art exchange, and seminar on drug prevention and control for workers in industrial parks, and at the same time launched the Campaign "Vietnamese workers say no to drugs - Million hearts, a determination".
In which, on the evening of September 18, a special art program and the Launching Ceremony of the Campaign took place with the main content being the screening of a report on the current situation and harms of drugs in workers and the role and activities of the Trade Union organization in the fight against and prevention of drugs, protecting workers; giving gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, typical workers who have strived to rise up in life; art and music programs dedicated to workers and people of Hai Phong city.
On the morning of September 19, the "Vietnamese Workers Resolutely Say No to Drugs" Day will be held with diverse contents: exchange program - seminar between workers and leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, experts and artists; sharing experiences and effective ways to prevent drugs at enterprises and industrial parks, supporting people after detoxification to reintegrate into the community.
Coming to the program, workers also participate in stage games and interactive experiences on identifying drugs, the harmful effects of drugs, drug rejection skills, legal regulations and the role of Trade Unions in drug prevention and control.
The Organizing Committee also arranged the space "Trade Union Welfare - Accompanying Workers" with 50 booths; organized a signing ceremony to respond to the Anti-Drug Campaign between representatives of 10 businesses and 10 grassroots trade unions in the area; flashmob art performance with the participation of 50 outstanding workers, spreading the atmosphere and action message of the Campaign.
At the conference, the City Labor Federation also informed about activities to care for union members on the sidelines of the event. In which, the highlight is giving 10,000 online shopping vouchers through the Huong Cong - Hai Phong Trade Union application (150,000 VND/voucher) to workers participating in the program; visiting and giving gifts to drug rehabilitation facility No. 2 on the afternoon of September 17... Thereby, spreading the meaning of the event, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
Representatives of press agencies also requested the City Labor Federation and the Organizing Committee to provide diverse and quick information about the event; coordinated drug prevention models among union members and workers...
The City Labor Federation wishes the press agencies to closely coordinate and provide information before, during and after the event. From there, strongly spread the message of drug prevention and control among workers and the whole society, contributing to raising awareness, responsibility and self-prevention awareness of workers in the face of drug dangers, protecting human resources, and ensuring security and order in industrial parks and export processing zones.
