At the dialogue conference between the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of Horn Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Duong Industrial Park, Hai Phong), representatives of grassroots trade unions made 5 proposals from workers related to the regime and rights of female workers. Each proposal is listened to and resolved by the company's management according to the actual situation at the enterprise.
Of which, 4 recommendations were agreed and resolved by the company: signing more labor contracts with pregnant female workers, maternity leave for raising children under 12 months old whose labor contracts have expired; female workers are allowed to take a leave during menstruation according to regulations. If they do not take a leave, workers will be supported with 55,000 VND/person/month (an increase of 17,200 VND compared to before). During the maternity leave, female workers are entitled to full allowances for diligence (760,000 VND/person/month). Female workers with young children under 12 months old are given 70 minutes off during their working time to rest and collect milk (an increase of 10 minutes compared to before), and are still paid according to the labor contract.
Regarding the fifth proposal related to increasing the support for raising children under 6 years old from VND 50,000 to VND 100,000, the company will consider, research and make a decision as soon as possible. These 4 recommendations will be included in the collective labor agreement by the union and implemented according to the signed agreement time.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Ha - Chairman of Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union - thanked the Company's Board of Directors for the past time for the grassroots trade union to operate effectively. At the same time, the company's leadership is expected to consider the 5th proposal of employees to make decisions in the shortest time, meeting the aspirations and actual needs of workers. Leaders of Hai Phong Economic Zone Union also said that at present, Horn Co., Ltd. as well as many businesses in the industrial park are facing difficulties in the recruitment process. The company's improvement of the regime and welfare for employees is also a solution to retain workers as well as attract workers to work at the enterprise.
