43/43 units build democracy regulations
Statistics show that the Trade Union of industrial parks and economic zones in the former Lao Cai province currently has 45 grassroots trade unions, with more than 5,000 union members. Over the past time, the trade union has regularly coordinated with functional agencies to supervise the full implementation of policies on salaries, working hours, social insurance, health insurance, maternity benefits, occupational accidents... In representing and protecting the rights of workers: 43/43 units built regulations on democracy at the workplace; signed 3 collective labor agreements with many advantages for workers. Hundreds of union members in difficult circumstances, occupational accidents, occupational diseases, orphans were visited and supported.
The trade union's working group directly visited 25 businesses to grasp the employment situation, income, and thoughts of workers. "Trade Union Meals" were organized at 10 businesses with a total support of more than 68 million VND.
Two union members with housing difficulties were awarded house repair support funds with a total value of 50 million VND. 9 gifts (2 million VND/gift) and 50 support items (500,000 VND/gift) were awarded to union members in difficult circumstances.
All union members have a warm Tet holiday.
Mr. Luu Quoc Cuong - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Babeeni Vietnam Co., Ltd. Lao Cai branch informed that the Trade Union has coordinated with the leadership to adjust the quality of shift meals, increasing the level from 30,000 to 35,000 VND/meal. At the same time, each week there is an additional increased meal worth 70,000 VND to ensure nutrition for workers.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Tuan Hai - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Lao Cai province said that in the past time, grassroots trade unions in industrial parks and economic zones have closely coordinated with employers in ensuring welfare for union members, especially salaries, income, social insurance and other care regimes.
According to Mr. Hai, the Trade Union Boards of industrial parks and economic zones of Lao Cai province are urgently coordinating with grassroots trade unions such as Duc Giang Lao Cai Chemical Co., Ltd.; Babeeni Vietnam Co., Ltd. branch in Lao Cai to schedule and plan to organize the "Tet Sum vay" program, give gifts, and support workers and children of workers in difficult circumstances.
Assessing the role of trade unions in industrial parks and economic zones, Mr. Phan Huy Cuong - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - said that taking care of the lives of workers, especially direct workers in enterprises, is always identified by the trade union as a key and continuous task.
Caring for workers is not just immediate gifts or support, but more importantly, creating stable jobs, sustainable income, a safe working environment, so that workers can feel secure and stick with businesses and trade union organizations for a long time," emphasized the Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation.
According to Mr. Cuong, during the 2026 Lunar New Year, Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation requested trade union levels to focus resources on organizing "Tet Sum vay" and "Trade Union Tet Market" activities, paying close attention to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, workers far from home, workers with reduced working hours and job losses.
