Chol Chnam Thmay Tet, Vinh Long trade union strengthens focus on grassroots levels

Vinh Long - Last week, the trade union focused on caring for the Chol Chnam Thmay Tet, supporting Khmer union members, increasing grassroots connections, and preparing for Workers' Month.

According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation from April 13 - 19, many activities were deployed synchronously, in which taking care of Chol Chnam Thmay Tet for Khmer union members and workers is a clear highlight.

The Standing Committee and the Standing Board of the Provincial Labor Federation participate in many important political, economic, and cultural events of the locality; directly attend "Military - People's Tet" activities, gatherings, giving gifts, and organizing folk games at businesses with a large Khmer labor force.

During the week, the Provincial Labor Federation awarded 20 scholarships to disadvantaged students in Tra Con commune, with a total value of 10 million VND; directed grassroots trade unions to grasp the situation, create conditions for Khmer union members to rest and celebrate the traditional Tet fully, safely, and warmly.

In parallel, organization building work is focused on, with inspection of compliance with the Trade Union Charter, working to remove difficulties at the grassroots level; 100% of officials participate in studying resolutions, contributing to improving the quality of operations throughout the system.

The Provincial Labor Federation is also preparing to organize the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, expected to mobilize 900 union members to participate, including 300 gifts for poor Khmer workers.
