On May 8, the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LDF) organized a meeting and gift-giving program for union members, workers, and laborers in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases. This is an activity to respond to Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".

At the program, the Provincial Labor Federation presented gifts to 24 union members and workers who are living and working in communes and wards including My Tho, My Phong, Chau Thanh, Binh Ninh, Long Dinh and Kim Son. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and essential necessities to support workers to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairwoman of Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation - sent greetings and encouragement to union members and workers facing difficulties.

Ms. Vui affirmed that the trade union organization will continue to accompany and become a fulcrum for union members to overcome adversity and feel secure in labor production.
According to Ms. Vui, although the gifts are not large in material terms, they show the feelings and responsibility of the trade union organization towards workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province.

Representing union members receiving gifts, Mr. Le Van Chau emotionally said that the support of the trade union organization is not only materially meaningful but also a source of spiritual encouragement for workers to continue to be attached to the business, strive to work and well comply with regulations.
According to the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation, in the peak period of Workers' Month 2026, the unit has reviewed and supported a total of 273 union members in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering from dangerous diseases with a total budget of more than 457.6 million VND. The activity contributes to affirming the role of trade union organizations in caring for life and ensuring social security for workers in the locality.
