Workers' Month 2026, implemented by the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", aims to put workers at the center of all activities.
Trade union levels in Ninh Binh province have focused on organizing a series of activities associated with the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1.
Thereby, continuing to affirm the position, role and historical mission of the Vietnamese working class. At the same time, promoting the concern and responsibility of the entire political system, the business community and the whole society in caring for and building an increasingly modern and strong working class.

Ms. Dinh Thi Dao - Chairwoman of Hoa Lu Ward Trade Union, Ninh Binh province - said that activities during Workers' Month are focused and keyly implemented by trade union levels in the ward. Trade union levels have mobilized social resources and employers to better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
The activities are mainly organized right at the grassroots level, taking workers as the center, grassroots trade unions as the foundation for implementation, digital transformation as a tool and taking practical efficiency as a measure, so it has attracted a large number of union members and workers to participate" - Ms. Dao shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation, the highlight of activities in this year's Workers' Month is the organization of dialogue programs between workers and Party committees, authorities and employers such as the "May Dialogue" program and the forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era". Through this, promptly grasped and resolved recommendations and problems arising from the grassroots level.
One of the key contents of this year's Workers' Month is the program "Thank you workers", with many activities directly aimed at the rights and lives of union members and workers. Trade unions at all levels have coordinated with units and businesses to organize visits and give gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, occupational diseases or have reduced income...
Along with that, models such as "Trade Union Meals", welfare booths, and preferential price sales programs continue to be implemented, contributing to reducing living costs for workers. Many units focus on improving the quality of lunch meals, supporting workers working in heavy and hazardous environments, and strengthening health care, psychological counseling and reproductive health for female workers.
Cultural, sports, and worker family festival activities are also widely organized, creating a cohesive atmosphere and improving the spiritual life of workers in industrial parks and businesses.
In parallel with care activities, the Ninh Binh Trade Union clearly defines the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of employees. Through the "May Dialogue" program, the heads of Party committees, authorities and businesses directly meet and listen to the opinions of employees.
In addition, trade unions at all levels also promote legal advice, support workers to access information about regimes and policies, and raise legal awareness in labor relations.

The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions continues to be promoted, especially in the non-state business sector. Building a strong Trade Union organization is identified as the foundation for better care for union members and workers.
In Workers' Month 2026, Ninh Binh province has over 70% of units and businesses with 100 or more employees implemented activities to respond to Workers' Month. Over 10% of union members and workers at units and businesses in Ninh Binh province participated in proposing initiatives, technical improvements, and solutions to improve labor productivity" - Mr. Long said.
