According to a report by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) from May 25 - 31, the Provincial LĐLĐ implemented many activities to care for union members and workers. In which, the work of developing trade union organizations continued to achieve positive results with the establishment of 4 more grassroots trade unions at enterprises.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to establish 4 grassroots trade unions including Thanh Phuc Food Co., Ltd., Phuc Khanh VN Co., Ltd., Duong Long Technology Engineering Co., Ltd. and TV Bakery Co., Ltd.
The establishment of new grassroots trade unions contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations in enterprises, creating conditions to gather workers to participate in organizations, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation continues to promote propaganda and mobilization to develop union members and build a strong trade union organization. The unit also issued a decision recognizing full-time trade union officials of Long Chau ward to consolidate the operating apparatus at the grassroots level.
During the week, the Provincial Labor Federation organized 3 training classes on occupational safety and health in Vinh Long, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre with a total of 360 trainees participating. The training classes equip knowledge and skills to prevent work accidents, occupational diseases and build a safe working environment.
Along with organizational development, many practical activities to care for union members have been implemented. The "Coming to Workers' Boarding Houses" program in 2026 is organized in 2 boarding houses, giving 100 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
In addition, many grassroots trade unions organized dialogues, propaganda on labor laws, social insurance and welfare activities for workers. Viet Hong Export Garment Co., Ltd. alone organized a trade union meal and presented 1,496 support meals to workers with a total budget of more than 350 million VND.
Currently, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation is managing 5 commune and ward trade unions along with 635 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 16,532 union members out of a total of 184,469 workers.
