On May 30, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of TV Bakery Co., Ltd.; and at the same time recognized the first 40 trade union members at the enterprise.
At the conference, the Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of TV Bakery Co., Ltd. and appointed an interim Executive Committee of 3 members. Mr. Bui Gia Tu was appointed as Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union. At the same time, the Inspection Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of 3 members was also established to perform the task of inspection and supervision according to regulations.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Bui Gia Tu - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TV Bakery Co., Ltd. - expressed his honor to be trusted by union members to assign important responsibilities.
He committed to building a strong trade union organization with the Executive Committee, promoting the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time actively coordinating with businesses to build a stable, harmonious and developing working environment.
Representatives of the Board of Directors of TV Bakery Co., Ltd. said that they will create favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate effectively, contributing to caring for the material and spiritual lives of workers and promoting the sustainable development of the enterprise.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - congratulated the grassroots trade union of TV Bakery Co., Ltd. on its official establishment.
She proposed that the Executive Committee soon develop operating regulations, grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members, promote the development of union members and perform well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
Currently, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation directly manages 5 commune and ward trade unions and 631 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 175,412 union members out of a total of 184,365 workers.
