On September 22, the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to establish the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of An Phuoc Food Co., Ltd. in An Phu Tan commune, Vinh Long province.
According to Decision No. 431/QD-LDLD dated September 21, the Standing Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation decided to establish the grassroots trade union of An Phuoc Food Co., Ltd., and at the same time recognized 210 employees as trade union members.
Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation appointed the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union consisting of 7 members. Mr. Truong Van Nuoc - Foreman - was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots trade union.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Truong Van Nuoc - Chairman of the Trade Union of An Phuoc Food Co., Ltd. - said that the Executive Committee will coordinate with employers to implement activities to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Nhat Linh - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - requested the Executive Committee to soon assign tasks and develop operating programs suitable to the business situation and the needs of union members.
According to the decision, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union is responsible for developing plans and organizing trade union activities according to the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union. Within a period of no more than 12 months, the Executive Committee must prepare the conditions for organizing the grassroots trade union congress.
The establishment of the grassroots trade union of An Phuoc Food Co., Ltd. creates an organization representing 210 employees at the enterprise, and is also the basis for deploying activities to care for, propagate, mobilize and protect the rights of union members in the coming time.
