On September 12, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) held a conference to establish the grassroots trade union of Lien Hang Shoes Company Limited.
At the conference, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor recognized the establishment of the Trade Union of Lien Hang Shoes Company Limited, officially effective from September 12.
This union will be under the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor. Also on this occasion, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor recognized 118 workers as union members.
The provisional Executive Committee consists of 5 comrades, with comrade Le Thi Thuy Trang holding the position of Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Lien Hang Shoes Company Limited.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor congratulated 118 employees of Lien Hang Shoes Company Limited on officially becoming members of the Vietnam Trade Union.
She affirmed that the establishment of a grassroots trade union at the company demonstrates the concern and efforts of the Provincial Federation of Labor in innovating the content and methods of operation, in order to gather a large number of workers to participate in the Trade Union organization.
At the same time, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh suggested that the Executive Board of the Trade Union soon stabilize the organization, closely coordinate with the Board of Directors of the company, and take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
"The Executive Committee needs to promote the function of supervision, social criticism, and protection of the legitimate and legal rights of union members according to the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union" Ms. Oanh emphasized this content.
