On April 15, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized a conference to announce the decision to establish the grassroots Trade Union of Yun Rui Co., Ltd., in Phu Chien neighborhood, Phu Khuong ward, Vinh Long province.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation decided to recognize 14 workers of the company as members of the Vietnam Trade Union; and at the same time established a grassroots trade union directly under it, starting operations from April 15.
The Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Yun Rui Co., Ltd. includes 3 appointed comrades; in which, Ms. Huynh Thi My Tien, interpreter, holds the position of Chairman of the grassroots trade union for the first term.
Within a period of no more than 12 months, the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union is responsible for fully preparing the content, documents, personnel and necessary conditions to organize the congress in accordance with the regulations of the trade union organization.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union of Yun Rui Co., Ltd. is an important event, marking a step in the development of building a representative organization for workers at enterprises.
According to Mr. Thang, the trade union organization will be a bridge between workers and businesses and the government, contributing to caring for and protecting legitimate and lawful rights and interests, and at the same time accompanying businesses to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation is managing 03 Commune and Ward Trade Unions; 627 grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions with 174,342 union members/184,102 workers.
