On the evening of September 23, at the Tan Huong Commune Cultural House, Dong Thap province, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap organized the Mid-Autumn Festival program for children of union members, workers, and laborers working at Tan Huong Industrial Park. With the theme "Full Moon Night", attending the program were Ms. Ngo Thi Thuy Trang - Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap, along with grassroots trade union officials, a large number of parents and children.
At the festival night, children participated in many fun activities, interacted with Uncle Cuoi, Sister Hang and enjoyed a lively lion dance. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Tan Huong Industrial Park currently has nearly 20 businesses operating, attracting about 55,000 workers from neighboring provinces. Therefore, organizing activities to care for the spiritual life of workers is practically meaningful, contributing to helping workers' families have more conditions for their children to happily celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
Over the past time, the work of caring for children of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, has been focused on by the Trade Union organization. In addition to Mid-Autumn Festival programs, many grassroots trade unions and businesses also award scholarships and gifts at the beginning of the new school year, and organize entertainment and community activities for children of workers.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap presented more than 350 Mid-Autumn gifts, with a total budget of nearly 100 million VND from mobilized funds from businesses. Each gift is worth 285,000 VND, including 2 Mid-Autumn cakes, peanuts, cakes, carbonated soft drinks and fresh milk.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy, a worker at TTG Co., Ltd., shared that busy work makes it difficult for him to take his children to Mid-Autumn Festival. Therefore, the program is an opportunity for his children to immerse themselves in the joyful, bustling atmosphere and have more beautiful memories of childhood.
Thanks to this program, my child can play with his friends. I am really grateful for the Trade Union organization's concern for the worker's family," Mr. Huy shared.
Gifts and fun activities not only bring joy to children but also show the companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers. Thereby, contributing to each worker's family having a warmer and more fulfilling Mid-Autumn Festival.
