On the evening of September 22, at the hall of Tan Phuoc 3 Commune People's Committee, the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap province organized the "Full Moon Night" program in 2026. The program is for children of union members and workers in Long Giang Industrial Park to joyfully celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Attending the program were Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation, Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap, along with a large number of union members, workers and children of workers.
Right at the time of the program, heavy rain accompanied by a power outage caused the hall to be submerged in darkness. Trade union officials and business employees quickly turned on phone flashlights, creating clusters of light for the program to continue. In the light from dozens of phones, the sound of lion drums and laughter of children still echoed. The unexpected incident did not interrupt the Mid-Autumn Festival activities.
At the program, children listened to the Mid-Autumn Festival New Year greeting letter from General Secretary and President To Lam to teenagers and children nationwide; watched lion dances, art performances and participated in games. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented nearly 300 gifts to children, including lanterns, Mid-Autumn cakes, milk, candies and cakes.
The "Full Moon Night Festival" program is an annual activity with profound humanistic meaning of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks and Economic Zones of Dong Thap province.
For worker families with limited incomes, having to stay in rented houses, far from home or raising young children, a thoughtful Mid-Autumn Festival night not only brings laughter to children but also helps parents alleviate some of the hardships and worries of life.
Especially in this organization, the image of Trade Union officials wholeheartedly raising their phones to light up every small corner for children to play and receive gifts on a rainy night of power outages is the most vivid proof of the bond and companionship. This activity continues to consolidate the close relationship between Trade Unions, businesses and workers, and at the same time affirms that the Trade Union organization is always a solid and reliable support for workers in all circumstances.
