Tien Lang Commune Trade Union has just organized the collective running tournament "Healthy and Beautiful Footsteps" with the participation of more than 3,000 union members and workers from nearly 100 agencies, units, and businesses in the area. Many businesses have dense production schedules but still create conditions for workers to participate. Union members of kindergartens dozens of kilometers away from Tien Lang Commune Stadium still join the event.
During Workers' Month, many large-scale sports activities are deployed throughout the city. Previously, at the "Culture - Sports" Festival in 2026, the City Labor Federation organized a mid-morning synchronized gymnastics competition with the participation of 24 commune, ward, special zone trade unions and grassroots trade unions with 1,200 union members participating. The Pickleball tournament among city union members and workers also attracted 182 athletes; The men's and women's football tournament among union members and workers with the participation of 57 teams with 912 athletes... Recently, Hai Phong Workers' Day 2026 at VSIP Hai Phong Industrial Park attracted more than 5,000 union members and workers to participate, of which more than 3,000 people immersed themselves in the "Green Run - Healthy and Beautiful Footsteps" race...
Along with festivals and sports tournaments organized widely throughout grassroots trade unions in the city, Hai Phong City Labor Federation also equips employees with an environment for daily sports training. In 2025, Hai Phong City Labor Federation will deploy installation at 100 trade union physical training points. Among them, 28 training points are installed in companies and businesses in industrial parks, 65 training points are installed at companies, businesses, cultural houses, parks... in communes, wards, special zones, 7 training points at grassroots trade unions directly under the emulation block of the City Labor Federation.
Trade union physical training points are all inspected by the Hai Phong Center for Technical Standards, Metrology and Quality to ensure the safety of equipment during operation before handing over for use.
Recently, Hai Phong City Labor Federation inaugurated a swimming pool, awarding 5,000 swimming cards (unlimited number of swimming sessions) to union members and workers. Awarding swimming cards to workers, Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City Labor Federation emphasized that the trade union swimming pool not only creates a useful playground, helping union members and children of workers have conditions to train physically and improve their health during the summer, but also shows the practical concern of the Trade Union organization for the spiritual life of workers.
This is a meaningful welfare activity, contributing to concretizing the Party and State's policy on caring for, protecting and improving people's health; and effectively implementing the programs of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Hai Phong City Labor Federation on caring for the health of union members and workers.
