With the motto of focusing on workers, the Trade Union of Dien Bien Power Company (PC Dien Bien) has just created a series of activities imbued with the imprint of the Trade Union organization in Workers' Month.

Prominent is the program "Care and maintenance of personal vehicles for workers" held on May 15. Accordingly, the program organized a general vehicle inspection, oil change, brake inspection, tire inspection, electrical system and traffic lights free of charge for staff and employees.
This activity not only helps workers save costs but also ensures safety on all roads, especially for operating management forces who regularly have to move.

In addition, Dien Bien PC Trade Union also pays special attention to workers' health through organizing shift meals to improve nutritional quality and ensure food safety and hygiene. Collective dining halls have become warm bonding places, where company leaders and workers sit together, listen, and share their thoughts and aspirations.
Under the harsh hot weather of May, Dien Bien PC Trade Union also directly brought meaningful gifts to construction sites and power grid repair locations to "support" workers in a timely manner. At the same time, reminding workers to always put labor safety first.
Training and equipping skills to prevent risks for workers are also being implemented by units. On May 12, the Board of Directors and the grassroots Trade Union of Dien Bien School Equipment and Book Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Fire and Rescue Police Department (Dien Bien Provincial Police) to organize a fire fighting and rescue drill.
Workers were directly trained and equipped with essential skills to quickly and safely handle fire and explosion situations.
Following that, on May 17, the Road Maintenance Board (Dien Bien Department of Construction) coordinated with An Binh Occupational Safety Co., Ltd. to organize OSH training for all officials and employees.
Based on current regulations, reporters have provided detailed guidance from how to identify dangerous and harmful factors in the workplace to initial first aid skills when incidents occur. The training class helps workers update knowledge, raise awareness of compliance with safety regulations, contributing to building a sustainable working environment.
In order to consolidate and improve the quality of the safety and hygiene network (ATVSV), on May 15 and 16, the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) successfully organized the 2026 Provincial Trade Union Excellent Safety and Hygiene Officer Contest.
The contest attracted the participation of 10 teams from grassroots trade unions throughout the province. Through the exciting competitions, the teams showed their understanding of OSH laws, along with practical situation handling skills, first aid, and fire prevention and fighting.
According to Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, in order for OSH work to continue to go deeper, trade union levels need to continue to promote the achieved results, promote propaganda and dissemination of laws; strengthen training and fostering skills for the team of occupational safety and health workers at the grassroots level.
In particular, it is necessary to closely coordinate with the government, peer officials and employers to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of regulations on labor safety and fire and explosion prevention.
