Through emulation movements organized by the Trade Union, Vietnamese workers have left their deep mark in each project, each product, each achievement and progress of the country.
To achieve this result, patriotic emulation movements among workers, civil servants, and laborers have been deployed synchronously and widely, closely following the political and professional tasks of the country, of each sector, locality, agency, unit, and enterprise. In which the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" has become a driving force to promote initiatives, technological innovation, rationalize production and improve working conditions, making an important contribution to increasing productivity, product quality, and production and business efficiency.
Movements and peak emulation periods on key national projects have helped union members and workers overcome difficulties, challenges, and hardships, shorten construction time, complete projects ahead of schedule, and make great contributions to the socio-economic development of the country...
Material benefits are the driving force for promoting initiative and creativity
From the reality of the unit's emulation movements, Mr. Tran Ngoc Huong - Deputy Director of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, Vietnam Electricity Group - one of the typical individuals commended by the VGCL in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style" said: An emulation movement only truly enters life when workers feel that their efforts and creativity bring specific value to the collective and to their daily work.
“We always appreciate every effort, every initiative, whether big or small, of workers. There are initiatives and improvements to help equipment operate more stably, there are solutions to help workers reduce the pressure during shifts, or simply limit a risk of unsafety in production... all are very precious. Because in the electricity industry, sometimes a small change can contribute to ensuring the entire system operates more safely, continuously and efficiently” - Mr. Huong said.
Another important thing, according to Mr. Huong, is that those contributions must be recognized, praised, and rewarded promptly and commensurate with the value of profit. When workers see their initiatives and improvements being listened to, applied, and enjoying worthy achievements, they will have more motivation to continue innovating and continuing to contribute.
Also exchanging about the rights of workers when they have initiatives and creativity, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the VGCL - analyzed: Material benefits are the most specific and practical motivation to promote initiatives and creativity in each worker, so when dialoguing, negotiating, and signing collective labor agreements, trade unions need to include regulations on enjoying the rights of people with creative initiatives commensurate with their contributions.
