On December 17, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the VGCL - worked with the People's Committee of Long An province on the implementation of the Trade Union Institution project in Long An.
At the meeting, Mr. Le Van Nghia - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Management Board of the Trade Union Institution Project of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that on April 17, 2024, the Management Board of the Trade Union Institution Project issued Document No. 60/BQLDA to the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province on the implementation plans of the Trade Union Institution project in Long An, however, up to now, the Board has not received any response on the choice of investment method for construction. Therefore, the Management Board of the Trade Union Institution Project of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested the People's Committee of Long An province to agree on the investment method and investment scale of the Trade Union Institution project in Long An.
Mr. Tran Van Tuoi - Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province - said that up to now, the Party Committee of the Long An Provincial People's Committee has agreed on the investment method for the Trade Union Institution project in Long An, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will invest in the cultural and sports complex, and the Long An Provincial People's Committee calls for investors to implement the social housing project.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor agreed on the investment method to implement the Trade Union Institution project in Long An, accordingly, the Long An Provincial People's Committee called for investors to implement the social housing project, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will invest in the cultural and sports building. In particular, the implementation of the project will be carried out simultaneously to complete, avoiding the case of completing the investment in the cultural and sports building but not investing in the social housing project, which would be a waste. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor committed to implementing when there is an investor to implement the social housing project.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Huynh Van Son - Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - requested Duc Hoa District People's Committee to establish a 1/500 planning as soon as possible, and at the same time, coordinate with the Trade Union Institution Project Management Board in establishing a detailed construction plan. Requesting departments and branches to coordinate with the Long An Provincial Party Committee Office to register for work reports, seek opinions and consensus from the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee in implementing this project.
