Ms. Bang Hai Ninh - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Industrial Zones of Vinh Phuc province - commented on Resolution No. 4a/NQ-TLD of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (term XI) on improving the effectiveness of the activities of trade unions at the grassroots level to meet the requirements of the workers' movement and trade union activities in the new situation.
Ms. Bang Hai Ninh said that, like other direct grassroots trade unions, the Industrial Park Trade Unions are facing many tasks and pressures. Ms. Bang Hai Ninh hopes that in the coming time, when restructuring the organizational structure, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will pay attention to arranging more and increasing the number of trade union officials in the zones to meet the requirements of the tasks.

Regarding the issue of developing union members, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial Labor Federation - said that the province will focus on developing union members in the informal sector because the number of workers in this sector is still large. The whole Ben Tre province has 10,000 lottery ticket sellers. He also proposed the need to support funding for grassroots unions.
Mr. Linh also said that the 2024 Trade Union Law has added the Trade Union's right to supervise and provide social criticism in Articles 16 and 17 of the 2024 Trade Union Law. Therefore, he proposed assigning social criticism targets to provincial Labor Federations for policies issued by the Provincial People's Council.
