On December 22, Vietnam Cement Corporation (VICEM) held a conference to summarize the work in 2025, deploy directions and tasks for 2026. Information at the conference said that in 2025, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, VICEM will achieve quite comprehensive production and business results.
According to Mr. Ngo Duc Luu - Acting General Director of VICEM, clinker production output in 2025 is estimated to reach 17.725 million tons, equal to 110.4% of the plan, up 11.3% compared to 2024. Total cement and clinker consumption reached about 25.87 million tons, completing 104.2% of the plan, up 8.5% over the same period.
Of which, the cement output consumed reached 22.653 million tons, up 7.5%; the clinker consumed reached 3.217 million tons, up 16.6%. Domestic cement sales alone reached 20.765 million tons, exceeding the plan by 1% and increasing by 14% compared to 2024; cement exports reached 1.888 million tons.
Total revenue of the Corporation in 2025 is estimated at VND 28,848 billion, equal to 99.9% of the plan and up 5.1% over the previous year. Pre-tax profit (excluding the difference in exchange rate at the end of the term) reached VND 287.3 billion, more than 3.5 times higher than the annual plan.
To achieve this result, VICEM and its member units have closely followed market developments, flexibly mobilized furnace capacity, and adjusted selling prices appropriately to compensate for increased costs due to fluctuations in raw material and fuel prices.
2025 is also the year VICEM strongly implements innovation and creativity programs, promoting the use of raw materials and alternative fuels in production. The total amount of waste used is about 400,000 tons, the rate of heat replacement in clinker production is equivalent to 31%. In addition, VICEM uses about 108,000 tons of sludge; 2.3 million tons of ash, slag and 443,000 tons of artificial high-altitude, of which many units have used 100% of artificial high-altitude replacement for natural high-altitude.
At the same time, VICEM focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment, optimizing operations, closely coordinating production - consumption - inventory, not leaving clinkers in place. The Corporation also promotes research and development of cement varieties to serve large infrastructure projects, specific projects and increases the application of information technology, comprehensive digitalization of production and business activities.
In the consumption sector, VICEM proactively operates selling prices, flexible sales policies, maintains domestic market share, and seeks and expands the export market for cement and clinker.
Regarding the lives of workers, the average income of all VICEM in 2025 is estimated to reach 18.9 million VND/person/month, equal to 103% of the plan; labor productivity reaches about 251 million VND/person/year, completing 106% of the set plan.
