According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in August 2025, based on positive recovery signals from many fields, the recruitment demand across the city is estimated to reach over 50,000 positions.
"This figure shows that businesses are planning to expand production and business for the second half of the year, while also reflecting optimism about the growth momentum of key sectors such as trade - services, tourism and investment capital," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center.
Based on a survey and information collection of 1,093 vacant jobs of 378 enterprises, the Hanoi Employment Service Center found that recruitment demand has some outstanding characteristics.
In August, the trade - service sector continued to account for a high proportion of recruitment demand, despite adjustments compared to the previous month. Of which, the group of other service activities continues to account for the highest proportion with 55.1%. Notably, the construction industry has seen a sharp decline in recruitment demand, accounting for 9.26%, down 4.38% compared to July. In contrast, the processing and manufacturing industry has increased sharply, accounting for 19.08%, up 5.52 percentage points compared to July, showing the rapid recovery of the manufacturing and processing sector.
Other industries such as transportation, warehouses, accommodation and catering services continue to have stable recruitment needs, reflecting the recovery of commercial and tourism activities.
The salary structure of enterprises has changed significantly compared to July. The salary of 5 - 10 million VND/month continues to be the most common, accounting for 57.08% of total recruitment demand. This level decreased sharply compared to July (71.02%), showing that the demand for recruitment of senior expert and mid-level expert positions in enterprises is increasing sharply. The salary of 10 - 20 million VND/month accounts for 37.41%, a sharp increase compared to July (24.55%). This salary is still for positions that require higher experience or expertise such as accounting, sales management and marketing, construction engineer.
"Wages above VND20 million/month and below VND5 million/month account for a small proportion, respectively 5.07% and 0.45%, showing the concentration of the labor market on average and high incomes," said Mr. Vu Quang Thanh.
