According to a report by the Department of Home Affairs of Cao Bang province, many businesses in the area have developed plans to reward workers for the New Year and Lunar New Year 2026. Notably, the highest Lunar New Year bonus recorded is up to 37 million VND/person.
Survey results at 261 businesses show that the Tet bonus policy has quite clear differences.
For the 2026 New Year holiday, 46 businesses are expected to pay bonuses, with the highest level being 5 million VND/person, the lowest being 500,000 VND/person.
Meanwhile, the 2026 Lunar New Year recorded 60 businesses with bonus plans. The highest bonus level is up to 37 million VND/person, while the lowest level is only about 300,000 VND/person, reflecting a significant difference between units.
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Cao Bang province, businesses are encouraged to develop Tet bonus plans based on Article 104 of the Labor Code, associated with production and business results in 2025.
Publicizing and early announcing bonus policies helps workers be more proactive in arranging spending at the end of the year.
Previously, the Department of Home Affairs also requested businesses to provide complete and transparent information about the salary and bonus regime to ensure the rights of employees.
The fact that many businesses expect to spend Tet bonuses at a high level takes place in the context of labor relations in the province being basically stable, without arising disputes. In 2025, Cao Bang province did not record salary arrears or strikes.
The actual salary paid to workers is guaranteed not to be lower than the regional minimum wage, with an average of about 7.6 million VND/person/month.
According to assessments, the Tet bonus plan of businesses not only reflects positive production and business results but also contributes to improving life and creating motivation for Cao Bang workers before the New Year 2026.
