Also participating in the delegation were Vice Presidents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL): Ngo Duy Hieu, Huynh Thanh Xuan, Nguyen Xuan Hung; leaders of the Labor Relations Department, Trade Union Affairs Department of the VGCL.
On the side of Thai Nguyen province, there was Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and some departments and agencies of Thai Nguyen province.
According to a report by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation at the working session, the whole province currently has 882 enterprises using 15 or more workers with social insurance contributions with over 174.3 thousand workers and laborers. In which, there are more than 154 thousand union members operating in 540 grassroots trade unions under the management of the Provincial Labor Federation, nearly 10 thousand union members and workers (NLĐ) belonging to central enterprises located in the area; more than 10 thousand NLĐ have not participated in the Trade Union organization.
After arranging the organizational structure, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation has closely followed the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The activities of the trade union organization have had many positive changes, continuing to affirm its role as a representative organization, caring for and protecting the rights of workers, making an important contribution to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks.

At the working session, opinions were exchanged, discussed, and proposed solutions to remove difficulties and improve operational efficiency in the context of increasing workload when the Provincial Labor Federation has to directly manage 540 grassroots trade unions, mostly non-state sectors, FDI enterprises, and at the same time perform many other tasks, which has put great pressure on human resources.
In addition, the work of developing union members in the non-state sector still faces difficulties, the quality of dialogue and collective negotiation is not uniform, and the capacity of a part of grassroots trade union officials is still limited.
Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee - highly appreciated the trade union activities in the past time that have made positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province. At the same time, he requested trade unions at all levels to overcome difficulties, continue to innovate operations, and focus on developing union members and grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises.
Regarding the recommendations of the Provincial Labor Federation, the Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee requested the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to study adjusting regulations or guiding localities to implement them appropriately, meeting operational requirements.
Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation, especially in the work of developing union members and innovating trade union activities in a practical and effective direction. At the same time, he acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of Thai Nguyen province to study in the direction of adjusting some regulations that are not yet appropriate and meet practical requirements.
The Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation develop a Project to establish the Industrial Zone Trade Union; commune and ward trade unions according to the inter-commune and ward model based on careful and cautious assessment, the model must be very streamlined to request the policy of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
In the new context posing many challenges, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation continue to innovate leadership methods in the direction of being deeply involved in grassroots levels, flexible and effective, putting union members and workers at the center; promote digital transformation in trade union activities.

Previously, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Nguyen Anh Tuan and the working delegation visited and presented gifts to workers and laborers at the Cluster Head - Nui Coc Irrigation Exploitation Enterprise under Thai Nguyen Irrigation Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company.
The President of the VGCL sent words of encouragement and sharing to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, and at the same time requested union members and workers to continue to strive and complete the assigned tasks.
On this occasion, VGCL President Nguyen Anh Tuan and the working delegation presented 50 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the company. Each gift is worth 1.3 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and a gift worth 300 thousand VND.
