Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung's family and thousands of workers in Da Nang stepped onto the Trade Union buses. For his family, the Trade Union ticket given directly is not only material support, but also a journey to bring "Tet" home early to loved ones who are looking forward to it in their hometown.

Burden is relieved

From early morning at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park Workers' Cultural and Sports Center, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung and his wife and children were present with neat luggage, their faces brighter than in previous years when they had to worry about trains and buses to return to their hometown. Mr. Dung said that if he buys his own bus ticket, his family will spend about 2 million VND - nearly half a month's salary of a worker.

Every year, every December, my husband and I lose sleep because of worrying about fares, worrying about crowding and stuffing on passenger cars. This year, thanks to the "Trade Union Bus Trip", that burden has been relieved. We not only saved a large amount of money but also feel secure and comfortable because the bus is clean, safe and full of colleagues' affection," Mr. Dung shared while still holding the Tet gift bags that had just been given.

Looking at his young child eagerly watching the crowd getting on the bus, Mr. Dung was moved, this Tet his family will have a more fulfilling Spring. The money saved from bus tickets will be used by him to prepare a decent Tet for his family in his hometown. For Mr. Dung's family, this bus trip is a bridge of affection, blurring the distance between the city and hometown, bringing back children who work far away.

Thousands of homes are reunited

Mr. Dung's family is just one of thousands of "homes" that have received joy from the Trade Union Tet journey in 2026. Typically, Ms. Mai Thi Hong, a female worker who has been attached to the industrial park for 13 years, but this is the first time she has experienced the feeling of returning to her hometown on the Trade Union's support vehicle.

Mr. Le Van Dai - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation - said that in 2026, the "Trade Union Bus Trip" program has mobilized 105 bus trips, serving 3,944 union members and relatives. Bus trips depart continuously for 5 days, from February 11-15 (ie December 24-28), spreading throughout the Central provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and to the Central Highlands provinces such as Gia Lai, Dak Lak.

In addition to roads, the Da Nang City Labor Federation also maximizes the advantages of railways to ensure safety and health for workers. 1,496 train tickets have been handed over to workers in the "Trade Union Train - Spring 2026" program. Trains departing from Da Nang station and Tam Ky station go to all stations from Hanoi to Saigon from June 13-16. 2.

Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized: "The biggest goal of this year's journey is to ensure safety and complete joy for workers. According to the plan, the City Labor Federation will not only stop at supporting trains and buses but also send trade union officials directly to the departure points to check in, arrange luggage and hand over meaningful gifts such as banh chung and candies. This is an effort of the Trade Union organization to affirm its role in accompanying and practically caring for each union member to have a warm Tet with their families.
