On the morning of September 12, Mr. Sung Seo Cuy (born in 1998) and his wife went to the recruitment board in front of the gate of Thang Long Industrial Park (Tien Loc commune, Hanoi city) to find a job. Both were from Lao Cai and rode motorbikes to Hanoi to seek new opportunities.
In his hometown, Mr. Cuy took on construction jobs, but his job was quite hard and unstable; his wife worked at home and had no income. Leaving 4 children in the countryside, carrying a few million VND in their pockets, the couple went down to Hanoi to find a way to make a living.
The purpose of this trip was to get information about jobs in Thang Long Industrial Park in advance.
"Currently, I have not been able to apply for a job to bring, only carry a citizen ID card, so if I have a suitable job, I will still not be able to submit my application," said Mr. Cuy.

Mr. Cuy was tired of sitting down to relieve fatigue, while his wife diligently used her phone to take pictures of recruitment information in the hope of finding a suitable job.
"My wife and I hope to find a job with an income of about 10 million VND/month, that will be enough for my wife and I to cover our living expenses renting a room in Hanoi and send money back to our hometown to raise our children," said Mr. Cuy.
In addition, he also hopes to have an extra job. "We leave our children at home, determined to be far from home to make a living, so we always want to work at a company that organizes extra work to earn more income and take care of our family," said Mr. Cuy.
Mr. Nguyen Van An - a job-seener - said that he graduated from intermediate school and has computer skills, so he wants to have a job with a starting income of at least 10 million VND/month. Only with this income can he ensure a life away from home and have to rent a room.
According to the reporter's research, many recruiting companies have incomes that can exceed 10 million VND/month when starting a job.
KYB Vietnam Industrial Company Limited recruits 50 production workers, requiring ages from 16 to 50 (both male and female). According to the recruitment paper, the total income is from 7-15 million VND/month - 22 working days (basic salary is 5.8 million VND/month). In addition, workers are also entitled to a fixed allowance of VND 800,000/month; other allowances: Up to VND 2.1 million/month (depending on the department). Employees are also rewarded twice a year; salary increase once a year.

Yasufuku Vietnam Co., Ltd. advertised for recruiting male workers to work on the machines, with a total income of up to 12 million VND/month; Denso Company said that the job to be recruited has a total income of 9.2 - 12.5 million VND/month (of which the basic salary is 6,835,000 VND/month and other subsidies).
Another company advertised a basic salary of VND 5,900,000, receiving 100% of salary during the study period. Total income is from 7-10 million VND/month.
However, there are cases where only a more modest income is needed. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc (character's name has been changed) carefully searched for information on the recruitment board and said that she used to work at a company with a low but stable income. She only works during office hours, not overtime. A year ago, the company changed its policy and organized 3 shifts, including night shifts.

"I can still work during the day, but at night I can't arrange because I have to spend time taking care of my family and children. That is why I resigned, Ms. Ngoc recounted.
After nearly a year of quitting her job, Ms. Ngoc recently went to Thang Long Industrial Park to find a job as a worker.
"I want to find a job that only requires working hours, with an income of only 7 million VND/month, so I can have time to take care of my children who are of school age. I don't want to work part-time, even if my income is higher, because that means I won't have the means to take care of my family," Ms. Ngoc shared.
