The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has just passed a Resolution regulating the criteria for establishing a Security and Order Protection Team; criteria for the number of members of the Security and Order Protection Team; level of support, compensation and spending for forces participating in security and order protection at the grassroots level in the city.
According to this resolution, the regular monthly support level for the head of the security and order protection team at the grassroots level is 6.5 million VND/person/month, the deputy team leader is 6.3 million VND/person/month and the team member is 6 million VND/person/month.
Notably, the resolution also stipulates that people participating in the security and order protection force at the grassroots level are supported with 100% of the amount of voluntary social insurance contributions above the regular monthly support level prescribed above and are supported with 100% of annual health insurance contributions.
The Resolution also stipulates that people participating in the security and order protection force at the grassroots level will be compensated when on duty from 10:00 p.m. the previous day to 6:00 a.m. the following day, which is 150,000 VND/person/night, not more than 10 nights/person/month; when performing heavy, toxic, or dangerous work according to the provisions of the law on labor, they will be compensated 150,000 VND/person/day and when on duty on holidays and days off, they will be compensated 600,000 VND/person/day.
When performing duties in border areas, islands, mountainous areas, areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, ethnic minority areas or at key commune-level administrative units for national defense, they will receive an additional allowance of 70,000 VND/day/person for working days.
