Traffic opens on flood-affected bridge in Gia Lai

Gia Lai - Dozens of workers have continuously dug and repaired the bridge abutments that were washed away and damaged after the storm.

On November 8, Road Management Office III.1 (Road Management Area III) said that on the morning of the same day, the unit had made efforts to open the Khe Bridge on Truong Son Dong Road.

After storm No. 13, floodwaters poured in quickly, sweeping away the Khec bridge abutment, causing complete traffic disruption.

On November 7, dozens of workers and vehicles were mobilized in time to fix the problem.

Many trucks carrying rocks and sand were dumped into the landslide area, tightly rolling to re-fill the road surface. Currently, vehicles transporting goods and people have been moving normally.

In the long term, the provincial Department of Construction will advise and calculate funding sources to repair and complete the bridge, ensuring sustainable and long-term use. At the same time, ensure the safety of people in communes along the Ba River whenever floodwaters come.
