Elderly people are assured to receive pensions
In the early days of June, many elderly people in Hanoi could not hide their joy when officials of the Hanoi City Public Administration Service Center came to their homes to support the procedures for certifying authorization signatures to receive pensions and social insurance allowances.
Ms. Tran Thi Hong Mai's family (Kim Lien ward, Hanoi) is one of the cases supported at home. Her mother is old, in poor health, living in a collective apartment on the 4th floor (P401 A6 Kim Lien collective area), so travel is difficult.
When they learned that a working group came to the place to support the procedures, Ms. Mai's family was very excited.
My mother is old, every time she goes down the stairs is very hard. If we have to go through procedures ourselves, the family is also quite worried. Now that officials come to our house to guide and support us in completing the paperwork, we are very reassured and feel cared for," Ms. Hong Mai shared.
Similarly, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa's family (Kim Lien ward, Hanoi) was also supported to carry out the certification of authorization signatures right at their place of residence. Ms. Hoa said that due to her old age and reduced health, moving to public administrative points is no longer as convenient as before.
“The staff guides very enthusiastically, procedures are carried out quickly. Old people like us feel very convenient when we don't have to go far or wait long,” Ms. Hoa said.
According to many families, bringing administrative services to their homes not only saves time and effort but also creates conditions for the elderly to access social security policies more conveniently.
Shock team brings public services closer to people
In order to support people to carry out procedures for certifying authorization signatures to receive pensions and social insurance allowances more conveniently and quickly, the Hanoi City Public Administrative Service Center - Branch No. 3 has established mobile support teams in many wards.
Ms. Dinh Nguyen Nhu Mai - official of Branch No. 3 - said that the implementation of the model stems from the requirement to implement new regulations of the Law on Social Insurance No. 41/2024/QH15, according to which the power of attorney to receive pensions and social insurance allowances is only valid for a maximum of 12 months.
“We proactively coordinate with local authorities to bring public services closer to the people. The shock team model is implemented in two forms: direct support at residential areas and to homes for elderly, sick or people facing travel difficulties,” Ms. Mai said.
Accordingly, working groups organize the receipt of dossiers, guide declarations and handle procedures at cultural houses and community activity houses in many wards such as Ba Dinh, Ngoc Ha, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, O Cho Dua, Van Mieu,...
For special cases, the shock team will directly come to the house for support. People only need to register through the head of the residential group or the Ward People's Committee to be arranged a service schedule.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - official of Branch No. 3 - said that the goal of the model is to ensure that all people, especially the elderly and vulnerable groups, have access to public administrative services in the most convenient way.
We want this model to become an effective way to replicate in many other fields, contributing to improving the quality of service to the people and building an administration close to the people, for the people," Mr. Kien shared.
With timely support from shock teams, many elderly people have completed the necessary procedures without having to travel hard. This is also one of the practical solutions contributing to ensuring the rights of pensioners and social insurance benefits in the Capital.
