The Chinese General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor give gifts to workers in four border provinces

4,000 gifts were jointly presented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) and the Chinese General Confederation of Labor to workers in four border provinces.

On the morning of September 19 in Lang Son, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Chinese General Confederation of Labor jointly organized a program to present gifts from the Chinese General Confederation of Labor to union members and workers in the provinces of Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh and Lang Son.

Attending the program, on the Vietnamese side were Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; on the Chinese side were Ms. Ma Lo, Secretary of the Secretariat, Vice President of the Chinese General Confederation of Labor and members of the working delegation.

The program gave 4,000 gifts to workers in 4 border provinces. Of which, Ha Giang had 800 gifts, Cao Bang had 800 gifts, Lang Son had 1,000 gifts and Quang Ninh had 1,400 gifts.

Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Cao Bang, and Ha Giang are four provinces that border the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

Recently, there have been many good meetings and exchanges between leaders of the four provinces and leaders of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, to strengthen solidarity and cohesion between the border provinces of Vietnam and China.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Ma Lo - Secretary of the Secretariat, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor of China - shared that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with mountains and rivers connected by a strip of land, always supporting and assisting each other. The relationship between Vietnam and China Trade Unions is a partnership of like-minded, mutually supportive partners.

According to Ms. Ma Lo, the Chinese General Confederation of Labor donated 4,000 electric fans to workers and union members in the Vietnam-China border provinces with the intention of bringing cool breezes, partly dispelling the fatigue of work.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that the visit and gift-giving by the Chinese General Confederation of Labor to union members and workers in four border provinces of Vietnam today is a very meaningful and humane activity.

"This is a practical and effective cooperation activity between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Chinese General Confederation of Labor, contributing to promoting and effectively implementing the high-level common perceptions reached between the leaders of the two Parties and two countries during recent visits. At the same time, it helps to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China," said Mr. Xuan.

After the gift-giving ceremony, from September 20 to 23, the delegation of the Chinese General Confederation of Labor will attend a reception program at the headquarters of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, participate in a meeting program with leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, visit and work at a number of enterprises and economic-cultural establishments in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City...
