On July 8, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Dak Lak Provincial Police) said that rescue forces had found the bodies of two dead boys in Ea Kar Lake (Ea Kar Commune).
According to initial information, on the afternoon of July 7, three grandchildren (one 7 years old, the other 3 years old) went to Ea Kar Lake to play.
At this time, the 3-year-old nephew was sitting on the shore, while the 7-year-old two children went down to the lake to play for a long time. By the evening of the same day, the family did not see the father return, so they went to the lake to look for him. However, they only saw a 3-year-old child sitting on the shore.
When going down to the edge of the lake, the family discovered the sandals and clothes of the two children. Immediately afterwards, people shouted to the people and reported to the authorities to organize the search.
Upon receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (Dak Lak Provincial Police) and local police mobilized many officers, soldiers and equipment to the scene to organize the search. Many officers and soldiers were equipped with air tanks to dive into the lake to find the bodies of the two children.
However, because Ea Kar Lake has an area of over 200 hectares and is already dark, rescue work is facing many difficulties.
At around 22:50 on July 7, rescue forces and people found the bodies of the two children.
