“Among the three workers who died in work accidents, the situation of Nguyen Huu Ng (born in 1976, residing in Phuc Son commune) is very heartbreaking. His wife used to be a teacher, but because she could not get a permanent job, she had to work as a garment worker. She is currently suffering from cancer. Her husband passed away but her family did not allow her to attend the funeral because they were worried that her health would get worse.

As for Mr. Thai Ba M (born in 1971, residing in Hoa Son commune), his wife and children are both working abroad. When he passed away, his wife did not return in time, and his son just returned home this morning to hold his father's funeral. We hope that organizations and individuals in the community will join hands to share and provide more support to the families of these workers," said Mr. Kha Van Tam.

Previously, on January 24, upon receiving information that three workers had died in a work accident, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed the Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor to promptly visit, encourage, and support the families.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has decided to spend 30 million VND to support the families of 3 workers who died in work accidents, authorizing the Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor to directly hand over to the families.

As Lao Dong reported, on the afternoon of January 24, a number of workers at Song Lam 2 Cement Joint Stock Company in Hoi Son commune (Anh Son district) were assigned to clean inside the factory.

While these 3 workers were working, a sudden cement mortar slip occurred, burying all 3 people and killing them on the spot.

The three deceased workers include Nguyen Huu Ng (born in 1976) and Tran Van H (born in 1970, both residing in Phuc Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province); and Thai Ba M (born in 1971, residing in Hoa Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province).

It is known that in the above incident, besides the 3 dead workers, no one was injured.

After the incident, authorities are blocking off the scene to investigate and determine the cause of the accident.

Local authorities and Song Lam 2 Cement Joint Stock Company coordinated to visit, encourage, and support the families of the deceased victims in arranging funerals according to local customs.

Anh Son district initially supported each victim's family with 10 million VND.
