Delegates from Hai Duong province included Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
Speaking at the conference, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor expressed his sympathy with the Party Committee, government, people, and workers of Hai Duong province for the damage caused by storm No. 3 as well as recent floods. At the same time, he believed that the Party Committee and people of the province would soon overcome difficulties, continue to stabilize their lives, and develop the socio-economy in the coming time.
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang also emphasized that in recent times, with the attention and timely direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, the trade union activities and the provincial workers' movement have achieved many important results in representing, protecting and taking care of union members and workers in the province. The patriotic emulation movement among workers has also been effectively implemented by the provincial Trade Unions at all levels, making Hai Duong one of the leading localities in the country in terms of the number of initiatives as well as the value of benefits...
In the coming time, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes that the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee will continue to lead and direct the implementation of resolutions related to the Trade Union organization; support the Trade Union organization in developing union members and establishing grassroots Trade Unions. Along with that, direct the provincial authorities to grasp the implementation of legal policies in enterprises, strictly handle the situation of unpaid wages, unpaid social insurance... to protect the rights of workers.
The province pays attention to urging and directing the care of people's lives, prioritizing the care of workers and laborers, especially workers in difficult circumstances on holidays and Tet...
At the conference, the two agencies signed a Work Coordination Program for the period 2024-2028. The coordination program aims to strengthen coordination in leadership and direction of the Party Delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee for the workers' movement and activities of the Vietnam Trade Union in Hai Duong province, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the two agencies.
The coordination content, the two agencies lead and direct the building of a team of specialized provincial trade union cadres with sufficient quantity and improved quality, doing well the work of planning, training, rotating and appointing cadres; arranging, reorganizing and innovating the activities of public service units and economic units under the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor, ensuring a streamlined, effective, efficient and financially autonomous apparatus...
The two agencies also coordinate in leading and directing the mobilization of union members and workers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Trade Union and Hai Duong province. Along with that, the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee ensure strict management of employee organizations at enterprises in accordance with the provisions of law; coordinate with the Provincial Federation of Labor to promote propaganda and dissemination of the State's policies and laws on labor to enterprises employing foreign workers in the province; strictly manage the recruitment and use of foreign workers working in the province...
The coordination program also focuses on leading and directing the understanding of the establishment and operation of workers' organizations in enterprises; caring for and improving social welfare and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, supporting workers in difficulty and workers with achievements in production and labor...
Also at the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 2 billion VND to support union members and workers in Hai Duong province affected by storm No. 3.
