Informing about outstanding trade union activities in 2025, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang said that, thoroughly grasping and seriously implementing Resolution No. 60 dated April 12, 2025 of the Party Central Committee, the Vietnam Trade Union organization has proactively arranged and consolidated the organizational structure of trade unions at all levels, from July 1, 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has officially been arranged under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Up to now, trade union activities at all levels have basically caught up with new requirements, gradually stabilized organization, adapted to new operating methods; the set targets have generally been achieved and exceeded, contributing to the country completing socio-economic development targets in 2025.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directed the successful organization of trade union congresses at all levels, and is urgently preparing well the contents of the work of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, focusing on the Political Report submitted to the Congress and collecting opinions to amend and supplement the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Successfully propose a project on strengthening the Party's leadership over propaganda, political, ideological, and legal education for workers in the new situation. Proactively and actively participate in contributing opinions to build the Constitution, amend and supplement the Trade Union Law in accordance with the organizational structure model after arrangement; coordinate research and propose to the Government to increase the regional minimum wage from January 1, 2026 with an average increase of 7.2%; research and coordinate to propose policies to support subjects affected by the arrangement of organizational structure and administrative units at all levels, including trade union officials; decrees regulating electronic labor contracts.
Implementing the work of representing, protecting, and comprehensively caring for union members and workers, typically organizing creative activities to care for the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025 with more than 11 million union members and workers being cared for; joining hands to share and support cases of union members and workers affected by storms, floods, and natural disasters; organizing more than 5,000 trade union meals nationwide...
Currently, trade union levels are focusing on organizing activities to care for Tet Nguyen Dan Binh Ngo 2026 for union members and workers. The plan to organize Tet care activities for union members and workers is concentrated at the grassroots level. Besides traditional activities being maintained and expanded in scale such as trade union Tet markets, trains, trade union flights, a new point is the trade union year-end meal being organized. According to incomplete reports from localities, to date, about 42,000 grassroots trade unions have organized year-end meals, estimated to reach about 70%...
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang pointed out some shortcomings, limitations, and main difficulties in trade union activities; and at the same time raised key tasks in 2026 of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Accordingly, the key task of the Vietnam Trade Union is to focus on preparing to successfully organize the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031; develop an action program to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovating the organization and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation", In particular, in the immediate future, trade union levels will focus on propagating to union members and workers to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, ensuring compliance with the law, quality and efficiency...
Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the tasks of the trade union organization in 2026 have many very large and important contents, shaping the development of the entire system not only in 1 year, 1 term but also the further future journey ahead, which is to successfully organize the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress and set out the task of realizing the goal of 100 years of Vietnam Trade Union.
At the meeting, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a longevity celebration for comrades aged 70 and 80.
