On the afternoon of November 13, at the Hall of VSIP Quang Ngai Company Limited, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented support money to union members and workers affected by the recent storms and floods in the province. The program was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan expressed that consecutive floods and storms in Quang Ngai have caused heavy damage to the province's economy, including many union members whose houses and properties were damaged by the flood, causing many difficulties in the lives of many union members and workers. Hopefully, union members and workers will overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, actively increase production and strive to participate in union activities.
At the program, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented a symbolic support board of VND 500 million to the Provincial Federation of Labor. On this occasion, 60 union members and workers in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones received gifts from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, each worth 2 million VND. The remaining gifts will continue to be presented in the coming time.
At the program, Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for union members and workers in Quang Ngai. The gifts are not only of material value, but also encourage spirit, contributing to helping union members and workers improve their lives and work.
Also this afternoon, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan and the leaders of the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation visited and presented 10 million VND in support to the family of union member Le Ba Hieu, in Son Tinh commune, a worker at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Equipment Manufacturing Company Limited, who was swept away by floodwaters on his way home from work.
Representatives of the Trade Union of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company also visited and presented more than 46 million VND contributed by union members and workers of the company, in order to contribute to sharing with the family of union member Le Ba Hieu.
