Ho Chi Minh City proposes that businesses not organize overtime and overtime to create conditions for workers and laborers to participate in elections on March 15, 2026.

The Ho Chi Minh City Election Commission has just issued an official dispatch to relevant agencies and units on ensuring conditions for workers and laborers to exercise their civil rights on election day.

Accordingly, the City Election Commission proposed that the City Labor Federation, the Department of Home Affairs coordinate with the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones, the Management Board of High-Tech Parks, the Management Board of High-Tech Agricultural Parks and localities with export processing zones and industrial parks to issue documents to businesses in the area, requesting not to organize overtime and overtime on March 15, 2026.

The arrangement of production time aims to create favorable conditions for workers and laborers to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and City People's Council deputies for the 2026 - 2031 term.

Agencies, units, and localities are required to report the implementation results to the City Election Committee before March 6, 2026 (through the Department of Home Affairs).

According to the plan, Ho Chi Minh City has 13 electoral units for National Assembly deputies, with 64 candidates to elect 38 National Assembly deputies of the 16th term.

For HCMC People's Council delegates, the whole city has 42 electoral units, with 208 candidates to elect 125 HCMC People's Council delegates of the XI term, term 2026 - 2031.
