Bringing information closer to voters
In Binh Thanh ward, propaganda work is implemented in many creative forms. Through the "Great Unity Morning Coffee" model, seminars introducing candidate biographies are organized at 6 locations in neighborhoods.
Here, voters directly listened and exchanged about the working process and capacity of the candidates for the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. This approach is considered a highlight of innovation in election propaganda, both creating an open atmosphere and contributing to consolidating the great unity bloc and strengthening people's trust.
According to Ms. Hoang Mai Quynh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thanh Ward, 2026 is the first year to implement elections according to the two-level local government model, and at the same time re-establish the People's Council model at the ward level in the city. In that context, the grassroots Front continues to affirm its role in supervising, social criticism, listening to people's voices and monitoring the resolution of government recommendations.
This is also an opportunity for the Front system to promote its role in caring for and supporting the People, consolidating the great national unity bloc. Along with consolidating the organizational structure suitable to the new model, innovating the content and methods of operation, attracting the participation of all classes of people, it is expected to create more motivation for a new stage of development.
Digital map, AI supports voters
Not only innovating direct propaganda forms, many localities in Ho Chi Minh City are also promoting digital transformation to serve elections.
In Tang Nhon Phu ward, the digital map system of polling stations has been put into operation. Voters can proactively look up locations and directions to the polling area quickly and accurately. Mr. Pham Dinh Trung - Chief of Office of Tang Nhon Phu Ward People's Committee - said that people responded positively and appreciated the convenience of the system. In addition, the ward also promoted propaganda with infographics; voters only need to scan the QR code on their phone to be guided to the most convenient polling location.
In Ben Thanh ward, the application of AI in video production and communication publications helps propaganda content become vivid, visual, and accessible. According to Ms. Bui Thuy Hien - Deputy Head of the Party Building Board, Ben Thanh Ward Party Committee, the locality has completed 4 propaganda short films; designed and published 12 sets of information graphic publications. The content focuses on the meaning and principles of elections; important milestones; rights, obligations and responsibilities of voters. Communication products have attracted more than 25,000 interactions and interactions, contributing to widely spreading information about important political events of the country.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Election Commission - requested localities to continue to promote propaganda with rich and diverse content and forms on many platforms, especially social networks.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinate with local Election Commissions to review and statistically count voter lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness. In which, regularly review the population and actual residence status to avoid omission of voters, especially in areas with large population fluctuations such as boarding houses, apartments, industrial parks, and export processing zones.
