After nearly 2 months of urgent implementation of the Project to Establish Commune, Ward and Ward Trade Unions and Trade Unions of Hanoi High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks, the City Labor Federation, together with the Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of communes and wards, and the Hanoi City Labor Federation organized the awarding of the Decision to establish Commune and Ward Trade Unions.
This is an important milestone, opening a new journey for the activities of the Capital Trade Union, affirming the determination to innovate, be creative, focus on the grassroots and stand side by side with workers.
In order for the new trade unions to quickly promote their effectiveness, Mr. Le Dinh Hung - Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation requested the Executive Committee of the Commune, Ward Trade Unions, the Trade Unions of High-Tech Parks and Hanoi Industrial Parks to effectively carry out 11 tasks and 9 powers in document No. 4251/TLD- ToC dated June 12, 2025 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to focus on implementing a number of key tasks in the immediate future.
One of them is to develop a Plan and successfully organize the first Congress and coordinate with the City Labor Federation to direct the 2025-2030 Grassroots Trade Union Congress to ensure quality, practicality and efficiency.
Play well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; participate in developing policies related to labor, supervising law enforcement; coordinate to build harmonious and stable labor relations; at the same time, effectively implement practical care programs such as "Tet Sum Vay", "Tet Union Market" in the spirit of not leaving any union members and workers behind...
The leaders of the City Labor Federation affirmed that these tasks are both a responsibility and an opportunity for the Commune, Ward Trade Unions, the High-Tech Park Trade Union and the Hanoi Industrial Park Trade Union to affirm their role and position from the first day of establishment.
After awarding the Decision on establishment, the Hanoi City Labor Federation organized training for the team of union officials on a number of contents on the role, position, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation; organization work, union financial work; implementation of key tasks of the Commune, Ward Trade Union, Hanoi High-Tech Park and Industrial Park Trade Union.
In particular, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor directly discussed a number of contents on the role, position, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
Speaking at the Conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that the Trade Unions of communes, wards, and Trade Unions of High-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks in Hanoi focus on performing well a number of tasks, including preparing well for the organization of the Congress; grasping the operating mechanism.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor especially emphasized the work of taking care of the 2026 Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo for union members and workers.
