One worker in Quang Ninh was stabbed in the leg by broken glass and had coronary artery surgery; 2 workers working in Hai Duong had broken arms and legs; these 3 workers were supported with 2 million VND/person.
The District Labor Federation also supported a union member who is a teacher at Bien Giang Kindergarten with VND2 million to help repair a house whose roof was blown off by the storm. The Mo Lao Ward Labor Union, whose headquarters had its roof blown off, also received VND1 million in support from the District Labor Federation.
In addition, the District Labor Federation visited and supported workers of Ha Dong Urban Environment Joint Stock Company and workers of Nam Ha Noi Group Joint Stock Company - who are on duty to overcome the consequences caused by the storm, each unit with 5 million VND.
The Ha Dong District Labor Federation is just one of many unions that grasp, visit, and promptly support union members and workers. The union's concern for both material and spiritual aspects has contributed to helping union members, workers, and their families overcome difficulties.
Representatives of the Tay Ho District Labor Federation (Hanoi) also directly visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to union members and workers at the Hanoi Construction Waste Treatment and Environmental Development Investment Joint Stock Company; Khanh An Green Technology Joint Stock Company, which is directly participating in overcoming the incident after storm No. 3.
Ms. Pham Thi Hai Yen - Vice President of Tay Ho District Labor Federation - requested that grassroots unions continue to have practical activities to care for, encourage and provide timely support to union members and workers participating in overcoming incidents after storm No. 3; at the same time, she hoped that union members and workers participating in performing tasks must strictly ensure regulations on labor safety and hygiene, avoiding unfortunate incidents.
Not only caring for union members, some places like Yen Bai Provincial Labor Union also arranged the guest house of Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation as accommodation for individuals and families in need when having difficulty finding accommodation during storm No. 3. The guest house has 7 rooms with a total of 20 1.2m beds, ensuring living conditions.
In addition, the campus has a communal kitchen, convenient for cooking, which can provide timely support and partially solve the difficulties of union members, workers and people in the city. The Provincial Labor Federation announced to receive and support free accommodation for union members, workers and people in Yen Bai city.
