On August 20, the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor (Confederation of Labor) held a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
Attending were Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, many leaders and former leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vo Khac Thai - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor - reviewed the life and career of Chairman Ton Duc Thang and the 95th history of establishment and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union.

It is dynamism, creativity, close connection with workers, and high responsibility in the process of building and developing the city.
This is the luggage for the city's trade union to confidently and proactively develop in the new period, establishing new achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of complete liberation of the South and reunification of the country; 105 years since the birth of Ba Son Trade Union, moving towards the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union in 2029.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Medal "For the cause of building the Trade Union" to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council and Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairwoman Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, former member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, former Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor for his many contributions to building and developing the Vietnam Trade Union.
Also at the ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor and Saigon Liberation Newspaper awarded the 24th Ton Ton Duc Thang Award in 2024 to 15 individuals with high achievements in creative labor, many initiatives and improvements, has value that benefits the business; Have a high learning spirit and be enthusiastic in training and passing on the profession to the younger generation.
