On September 23, 2025, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) coordinated with the Board of Directors of Can Tho Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company to organize a ceremony to present the Union Shelter to the family of Mr. Luu Minh Duc - a union member of the Can Tho Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company.

This is an activity to care for the lives, material and spiritual needs of union members, workers and civil servants with difficult housing circumstances, helping workers feel secure in their work and stay with the unit for a long time.
The house was built after a process of surveying, proposing and reviewing from trade unions at all levels. The total cost of building the Trade Union Shelter is 300 million VND, of which the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch in Can Tho supported 50 million VND, Mr. Luu Minh Duc's family contributed 250 million VND, along with support for working days from relatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Cong Khanh - Head of the Trade Union Work Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency of Can Tho City, Permanent Vice President of the City Labor Federation congratulated Mr. Luu Minh Duc's family on having a new, spacious and cozy place to live.
Mr. Le Cong Khanh emphasized that the house is not only a material asset, but also a symbol of sharing, solidarity, and social responsibility that the Trade Union organization always strives to promote.

Mr. Le Cong Khanh said that housing is an important foundation for everyone to feel secure in their work, stick with their work and build a future. For many workers who are still in difficulty, a solid home is still a big dream. The Trade Union Shelter Program is a material and spiritual support for union members to overcome difficulties, firmly establish themselves and their careers.
According to Mr. Khanh, taking care of housing for union members and workers is one of the key tasks of the Trade Union organization. In the coming time, the Can Tho City Labor Federation will continue to promote this work, mobilizing resources from organizations, individuals, and enterprises to spread the Trade Union Shelter program to many more difficult circumstances.

Moved when receiving the Union Shelter, Mr. Luu Minh Duc expressed his deep gratitude to the Union organization, the Board of Directors of the company, the Golden Heart Fund and those who have accompanied and supported the family throughout the process of building the house.
This is a great source of encouragement for my family. From now on, we can live, work and strive more with peace of mind in our work, so as not to lose the trust of the Trade Union and the company community, Mr. Luu Minh Duc shared.
