On the afternoon of December 26, CEP microfinance Organization - Vinh Long Branch coordinated with Tan Ngai Ward authorities to organize a ceremony to present "CEP House" to Mr. Le Thanh Nam's household, in difficult circumstances in the locality.
The house was handed over to Mr. Le Thanh Nam's family at 173A, Vinh Hoa Hamlet, Tan Ngai Ward. The house has an area of 67.5m2, with an anchored Ben wall structure, a corrugated iron roof, and a reinforced concrete floor.
The total cost of building the house was 70 million VND. Of which, CEP Vinh Long Branch supported 60 million VND, the rest was contributed by Mr. Nam's family, matching the actual capacity.
The project started on December 1 and was completed on December 22, after nearly a month of construction. The new house ensures safe living conditions, helping the family stabilize their long-term life.
Empowered, Mr. Le Thanh Nam said that for many years his family has lived in a dilapidated house that was not suitable for repair. CEP's timely support helps the family realize the dream of having a solid home.
According to Mr. Nam, when there is a stable place to live, the family is more secure in working and producing, more motivated to rise up, take care of their children and gradually improve their lives in the coming time.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Cang - Director of CEP Vinh Long Branch congratulated Mr. Nam's family on having a new, spacious house, and shared that this is a meaningful gift for poor workers.
Mr. Cang said that the CEP Housing program aims to help workers stabilize their housing, thereby working with peace of mind, increasing income and improving the quality of life, contributing to ensuring social security in the locality.
According to Mr. Cang, in 2025, CEP Vinh Long has implemented many social security activities such as supporting scholarships, visiting sick workers, and building houses with a total cost of over 900 million VND.
"In 2026, CEP Vinh Long will continue to coordinate with the Labor Federation and local authorities, replicate support models, increase preferential credit sources and provide practical care for workers," Mr. Cang added.
