Promoting the role of Women's Union work
On March 2, Mr. Phan Van Ban - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade (VTC) said that in 2024, all levels of the industry have done a good job of mobilizing female employees of the unit to carry out emulation movements, especially improving the quality of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work", promptly recognizing and rewarding outstanding female employees, the movement has spread and attracted a large number of female employees in the industry to participate.
In particular, the Women's Union at all levels has promoted its core role in guiding the launch of the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work" to attract a large number of female union members and employees to register for emulation. As a result, in 2024, over 95% of female union members and employees of the units achieved the emulation title of "Good at public work, good at home work", achieving the title of cultural family.
From the emulation movement, many typical female collectives and individuals have emerged in the fields of management, training, scientific research, production and business, and creative labor.

Launching "Ao Dai Week" among female union members and workers
According to the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in the coming time, trade unions at all levels will continue to establish, improve and improve the quality of activities of the Women's Union at all levels, focusing on establishing mass women's unions in non-state enterprises according to the targets of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Launching "Ao Dai Week" among female union members and workers wearing Ao Dai during the working day in accordance with working conditions and professional characteristics from March 1-8, 2025, focusing on wearing Ao Dai simultaneously on March 8, 2025 to spread the beauty of Ao Dai at work and home.
Organize rich and diverse activities to attract a large number of female union members and workers to participate on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8); continue to respond to the Program "Giving Ao Dai, Sending Love, Preserving Traditional Beauty" to give to female union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in mountainous areas, remote areas in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit and enterprise.
Mobilize female union members and workers to actively participate in emulation movements launched by the unit such as the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "Good advice, good service". Strive for each grassroots union to have at least 1 activity to care for female union members and workers.
Strengthen coordination in inspecting, supervising or presiding over the implementation of policies and regimes for female and child workers; promote the implementation of activities to care for union members and workers such as the model "Your Health", " Breastfeeding room at workplace", "Summer camp for children of workers", "Collision wedding ceremony".
Well perform the role of representing, caring for, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of female workers through dialogue at the workplace and negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Industry and Trade sector currently has 139,481 union members out of a total of 148,110 employees; of which, female workers are 43,809 people, accounting for 29.6%. 100% of grassroots trade unions in the State management agency, administrative and career sector, State-owned enterprises and 75% of grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises and in units with 10 or more female employees have established mass Women's Union. There are currently 1,150 members of the mass Women's Union at all levels.
