Taking care of workers
On the morning of December 28, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade held a Conference to summarize the Trade Union's work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 in Da Nang City.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Member of the Presidium, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor... attended the conference.
In 2024, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade fully and promptly implemented social security policies and regimes, taking care of the lives of union members and workers.
In particular, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade has actively organized and coordinated many activities to take care of the Lunar New Year 2024 such as supporting in cash and kind for 5,132 workers and 21 collectives, units, and establishments inside and outside the industry with a total amount of approximately 2.9 billion VND.
Trade unions at all levels organized Trade Union Meals for 44,877 union members and workers with a total budget of 4.5 billion VND. Supported 676 million VND to build 16 houses and repair 3 houses for union members in difficult circumstances...
Special year of the Trade Union system
2025 is the second year of great significance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 4th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Industry and Trade.
This is the fourth year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, Resolution 02 of the Politburo on Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation... Therefore, Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade will continue to focus on directing and strengthening the work of participating in management, representation, protection of legitimate and legal rights and interests, and caring for the lives of union members and workers.
Organize well propaganda activities, disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and those of the Trade Union organization, to raise political awareness, legal knowledge, and working style.
Promote emulation movements, especially the Good Worker - Creative Worker movement, the Green - Clean - Beautiful movement, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene associated with the campaign to build culturally standard agencies, units and enterprises. Build and effectively implement the program to develop union members and establish grassroots trade unions.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that in 2025, the entire nation, the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army, the trade union system of the whole country... will enter a very special year. This is the year of Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th Party Congress; the year of Emulation Congresses at all levels. In particular, 2025 is the year to celebrate even years, full years of many major holidays of the Party, of the Country, of sectors and localities; to implement the amended Trade Union Law...
Therefore, the Vietnam Trade Union at all levels needs to continue to innovate its organization and activities, focus on performing its functions and tasks well, meeting the requirements of the new situation, focusing on representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; actively and proactively participating in state management and socio-economic management.
Strengthen solutions to stabilize labor relations during the Lunar New Year 2025; visit and support union members who are sick, have serious illnesses, or are in especially difficult circumstances, especially during the Lunar New Year;
Directing the Trade Union to coordinate with employers to organize "Tet Sum Vay" in 2025 at enterprises with many union members and employees.
Launch emulation movements among employees to achieve achievements to celebrate important political and historical events of the country and industry...
