On January 9, the Lao Cai Provincial Industry and Trade Union held a conference to summarize the work in 2024.

Accordingly, in 2024, the Provincial Industry and Trade Union has focused on the grassroots level, proactively and actively taking care of the lives of union members and workers, such as visiting and subsidizing 1,139 union members and workers with an amount of more than 1 billion VND; supporting the construction of 8 "Union Shelters"...

In particular, in 2024, the unit established 5 new grassroots unions, admitted 2,251 union members, reaching 468% of the assigned plan.

In 2025, the Lao Cai Provincial Industry and Trade Union will focus on solving employment, taking care of the lives and increasing income for union members; promoting propaganda and mobilization activities to develop union members and establish grassroots unions.

At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Confederation, and the Lao Cai Provincial Trade Union of Industry and Trade commended collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities and emulation movements.

The provincial Industry and Trade Union also provided support for the "Tet Sum Vay" program to grassroots unions to give to union members and workers in difficult circumstances to celebrate Tet.

At the same time, funds were awarded to build houses for 5 union members and support union members affected by natural disasters with a total budget of 570 million VND.

On this occasion, the Lao Cai Provincial Industry and Trade Union announced the decision to establish three new grassroots unions, including: Grassroots Union of Hacom Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company - Lao Cai Branch; Grassroots Union of Nam Luc Southeast Asia Hydropower Joint Stock Company and Grassroots Union of Anh Thu Event Organization Company Limited.
