At TOTO Vietnam Co., Ltd., the Trade Union coordinated with the company's leaders to organize the 2024 Trade Union Meal simultaneously at 3 factories in Dong Anh, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc with over 4,000 meals. At Dong Anh Factory, more than 1,000 union members, employees and representatives of the union and company leaders enjoyed the Union Meal.
The soup has dishes that are loved by workers such as ribs, fish, fried squid, vermicelli soup...; dessert is fruit, yogurt, water, with an average value of about 60,000 VND/soup. Therefore, they all hope that the Union Meals will continue to be maintained. Because this is also an opportunity for employees, union organizations and unit and enterprise leaders to share and listen to their thoughts and aspirations to create an atmosphere of solidarity and understanding, thereby creating trust and attachment of union members and employees to the union organization and enterprise.
Ensure mid-shift meals and lunch at higher costs than usual
According to the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on implementing the organization of the 2025 Trade Union Meal, the requirements are to ensure shift meals and lunch at a higher cost than usual through the support of the Trade Union organization; effectively implement food safety and hygiene; not affecting the production and business activities of enterprises; in accordance with the actual conditions of the industry, locality, unit, and enterprise. Pay special attention to units and enterprises with a large number of employees and difficult conditions to ensure that all employees enjoy the Union Meal.
Trade unions of units and enterprises (or member trade unions, trade union groups, and departmental trade unions where there are many union members) in places where mid-shift meals or daily lunch are organized at the workplace for union members and employees. Trade unions of units and enterprises in places that have not organized mid-shift meals or daily lunches at the workplace for union members and employees, if the unit and enterprise leaders agree to coordinate and agree on the location for organizing the Union Meal, will apply the Guidelines of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Union Meal Program is an activity organized by trade unions at all levels (at the grassroots level, at the grassroots level, member trade unions, department trade unions, union groups) in coordination with unit heads and employers on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (19.8), National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2) and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (28.7).
