Currently, the industry unions in the Emulation Bloc are managing 108 direct superior grassroots unions, 1,141 grassroots unions with a total of 383,391 union members and workers.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union (Head of Emulation Block No. 2) - said that in the first 6 months of the year, units in the emulation block have promoted their roles and responsibilities, actively directed and guided trade unions at all levels to perform their representative functions well, take care of protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; coordinate with professionals to well organize emulation movements according to the characteristics of industries and professions; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies on wages, social insurance, and working conditions for workers to gradually ensure their lives and incomes, contributing to stabilizing and developing the unit.
In addition, the units have focused on directing grassroots trade unions at all levels to organize many practical activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. In particular, the Vietnam Education Trade Union - Head of Emulation Block No. 2 - mobilized other sources of support to support 4 groups, 869 cadres, teachers, workers and 676 students with a total amount of money and gifts worth nearly 1.5 billion VND; deployed the Trade Union Tet Market program through the e-commerce trading floor to units with more than 235 cadres, teachers and workers participating. The Vietnam Education Trade Union also allocated 65 million VND to support 24 cadres, teachers and workers of affiliated units who were in difficult circumstances and died due to serious illnesses.
At the conference, delegates also discussed the content of directing trade union activities in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
