Application of information technology in job connection for demobilized soldiers

In the coming time, relevant agencies will apply information technology to improve efficiency in connecting jobs for demobilized soldiers in the Capital.

On April 2nd, representatives of the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that after 10 years of implementing the Regulation on coordination in consulting, career guidance, vocational training and job introduction for demobilized soldiers and soldiers about to complete military service between the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs and the Capital High Command, the program has achieved many positive results.

Accordingly, the units have coordinated to successfully organize 13 thematic job transaction sessions specifically for demobilized soldiers; attracting more than 500 businesses with nearly 21,000 recruitment, enrollment and labor export targets.

There were 4,396 soldiers participating in direct interviews at the sessions; counseling and career guidance for more than 6,000 turns of soldiers; of which more than 2,000 comrades found jobs immediately at job transaction sessions.

The quality of jobs is increasingly showing positive changes. In the early stages, recruitment was mainly for unskilled workers with low incomes, but now the proportion of military personnel accessing high-tech positions and intermediate management positions in large corporations and FDI enterprises has increased significantly, with an income of 10 - 15 million VND/month.

Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that after 10 years of implementing the coordination regulations, in addition to the achieved results, the program still has some limitations. In the coming time, relevant agencies will promote the application of information technology and artificial intelligence to enhance the quality of transaction sessions and job quality.
