Many job opportunities for Information Technology students
In the context of AI development, many students are worried that some jobs in the technology field may be replaced by artificial intelligence. However, according to education experts, the labor market is still lacking high-quality human resources in the fields of information technology and artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai - Director of Thang Long Institute of Mathematics and Applied Sciences, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology, Thang Long University - said that in the school's training majors, students majoring in Information Technology often have job opportunities right from when they are still in the lecture hall.

Many students have been doing internships at businesses since the 3rd year. This shows that the job search ability of students in this industry is opening up.
In the coming time, the job prospects of the information technology sector still have a lot of potential, because the human resources for information technology and AI in our country are still quite lacking" - Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai said.
Sharing the same view, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Viet Vu - Head of the Faculty of Information Technology and Communications, CMC University - also said that through the school's survey, the demand for human resources in the ICT field is still increasing.
According to Mr. Vu, the school currently trains in majors such as Information Technology, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, with a target of enrolling about 500 students per course. This is the human resource that the school aims to provide to the labor market in the coming years.

The development of AI poses new requirements for students
According to experts, to seize job opportunities in the context of rapid technological changes, information technology students need to equip themselves with new skills to be able to adapt to the requirements of the labor market.
Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai said that previously, the knowledge learned at university could be used for many years. However, with the rapid development of current technology, many knowledge can quickly become outdated.
Therefore, students majoring in Information Technology need to train their self-learning ability and adapt to changes in society.
In the process of studying at university, students need to cultivate independent thinking, creativity and especially self-learning ability. Universities today are not only places to impart knowledge but also an environment to help students form long-term learning methods" - Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai shared.
According to him, artificial intelligence is actually built on three basic foundations: statistics, optimization and probability. These are also factors close to how people think and make decisions.
If students master those basic knowledge, no matter how technology changes, they can still adapt" - Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai assessed.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Viet Vu also affirmed that students should not be too concerned about AI replacing humans, because AI mainly plays the role of a supporting tool.
According to him, to effectively exploit AI, learners still need to have basic knowledge of technology and understand the principles behind it.
We cannot just rely on AI to solve all problems if we ourselves do not understand technology. Students who want to work in this field still need to be fully equipped with specialized knowledge and professional skills" - Mr. Vu Viet Vu said.
According to experts, in the context of rapid technological changes, candidates need to carefully consider when choosing a major. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Viet Vu advises learners not to follow the "hot major" trend but to choose a major that suits their abilities and interests.
Sharing the same view, Prof. Dr. Ha Huy Khoai emphasized that students in the field of information technology need to prepare a long-term learning mindset.
If you want to develop long-term in your career, everyone must regularly study and update new knowledge. This can only be maintained when learners really love the industry they pursue. That is what is important when choosing a major," he added.
