The conference organized by the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor on December 14 aims to collect comments on the documents submitted to the Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term and draft laws to serve the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The event took place simultaneously in the three areas of Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh before the merger, creating conditions for delegates to fully participate, promoting responsibility in completing the key contents of the Trade Union organization.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor oriented the discussion to revolve around groups of issues such as developing union members, improving inspection efficiency, increasing representative capacity, strengthening financial work and promoting communication, especially in the context of digital transformation.
Delegates were asked to give in-depth comments on key solutions, to ensure documents close to reality, in line with the new requirements of the workers' movement.

In Vinh Long area, delegates focused on discussing improving the quality of union member development mobilization work by expanding training courses on negotiation skills, dialogue, dispute resolution and mobilization of workers.
At the same time, the delegate also mentioned the issue of restructuring part-time union cadres in accordance with their expertise, such as being in charge of training, communication or recruitment, helping cadres have the conditions to meet new workers and introduce their rights when participating in the Union.
In addition, the delegate proposed to increase skills training for union group leaders and deputy union groups in production groups to receive timely feedback and mobilize new workers to effectively join the Union.

In the Ben Tre area, many delegates discussed the content of improving collective bargaining capacity, building long-term welfare for union members and increasing transparency and publicity of trade union finances.
Completing asset management regulations and improving the quality of emulation movements is considered a necessary solution, to encourage initiatives and properly evaluate the contributions of workers.
Tra Vinh area focuses on discussing enhancing digital communication to bring the Trade Union resolution closer to workers, especially young workers.
The delegate proposed that the propaganda content should be substantial, focusing on practical issues, and at the same time have strong solutions to support female workers raising young children and monitoring gender equality at the workplace.
Delegates also contributed many opinions to the draft Report of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the draft amendment to the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, ensuring that the documents submitted to the congress are complete and close to reality.
The 1st Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, is scheduled to take place on December 16.
